It’s The Full Moon – Beaver Moon 2019
Dear seekers after truth,
Tonight’s full moon has many aliases—Frost Moon, Mourning Moon, Snow Moon, Moon of Storms—but it’s best known as the Beaver Moon since this is the time of year when hunters traditionally set their beaver traps, or it was before the European colonists of North America killed hundreds of millions of the poor creatures for hat purposes, and if you think that fact has been forgotten, you haven’t been paying close attention.
You’ll notice that this newsletter is missing its customary horoscopes. That’s not because I misplaced my astrolabe or elbowed my crystal ball off my desk. It’s just there’s only so many times you can make dead-on predictions before you get a little bored.
So going forward, I’ll be doing something else in this newsletter.
I'm not sure what that will be just yet.
I'll spend the next month meditating in an unbroken yoga posture.
I’m sure it will come to me.
WRITING NEWS
Areas of Fog is now available as an audiobook on Audible and Itunes! I tried to get Dylan Thomas to do the narration since he makes a cameo in the book, but he never even responded to my requests. Poets, right.
Also, please check out this 10-minute radio story about the bitter feud between a Beacon Hill medium and the world's greatest magician. It aired on WVIA-FM’s ArtScene with Erika Funke on Halloween.
